The Resort – Overview
The Terrazas de Coson boutique hotel is a 5-star resort nestled in the lush hillside of the Samana peninsula of the Dominican Republic, overlooking beautiful Coson Beach. Guests all have their own private bungalows, with plunge pools and, from 600 feet above sea level, stunning views of palm forests and the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The charming yet stylishly-contemporary bungalows are all accessed along the hillside by a funicular railway.
Or, guests can choose to rent one of the luxurious villas, complete with staff and all the fine hotel accommodations one would expect in one of the most exclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
Resort guests all have access to a private beach, a host of restaurants providing for fine dining experiences to casual lunches, and an international spa.
The Resort – The Hotel
The thing one notices first is the view. The bungalows that comprise the 5-star resort hotel of Terrazas de Coson have large terraces overlooking miles of breathtaking scenery. Swaying palms, deep green forests, clean white sand, and stunning blue waters. It’s a view not so much seen, as experienced. A breathtaking delight for the eyes as well as the soul.
The bungalows are stylishly contemporary sanctuaries of quiet privacy. Each with its own plunge pool. Natural infinity edge pools wind around throughout the resort. Service is provided by the best staff the Dominican Republic has to offer, helping guests with any desire or need they might have.

A beachfront restaurant means you don’t even have to leave the privacy of the beach for
delectable meals by a world-renowned chef. And after dark? Stay, relax, and enjoy the night at the beach club. Or enjoy the vibrant nightlife of nearby Las Terrenas. The pace is always up to you.
The Resort – Hotel Bungalows
A funicular railway takes you down the hill from the main hotel to your private bungalow, and you surrender yourself to the majesty of nature’s beauty. Your bungalow, like all the bungalows that make up the resort, has been designed to blend seamlessly into the scenery. It’s quite impossible to say where nature ends and your home begins.
Each bungalow has its own large terrace, looking out over green hills and blue skies and white sands and turquoise waters. It’s a veritable feast for the eyes – mesmerizing, captivating, breathtaking.
There are just 28 private bungalows, and a total of 56 guest rooms. Each has a suite for rent, with living area and master bedroom; or a studio with just a master bedroom. Or, of course, you can rent the whole bungalow.
